Cloprostenol Sodium is a synthetic analogue of prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2α) used to induce luteolysis, synchronize estrus, and manage reproductive disorders in livestock. It effectively regresses the corpus luteum to control the estrous cycle in cattle, sheep, and pigs. The addition of benzyl alcohol acts as a preservative.
