Ethamsylate is a haemostatic agent used to reduce excessive capillary bleeding by improving platelet adhesion and stabilizing capillary walls. This sterile injectable formulation is widely used in veterinary medicine to prevent and control internal or external haemorrhage, particularly in surgical, obstetric, or trauma cases. It enhances the body's natural haemostatic mechanism without causing clot formation directly.

•  Form: Clear, colourless to pale yellow sterile aqueous solution

•  Strength: 125 mg/mL

•  pH: Typically, 6.0 – 7.5

•  Sterility: As per B.P. standards for veterinary injectables

•  Free from: Suspended particles or discoloration

Veterinary haemostatic agent – controls bleeding by promoting platelet aggregation and improving capillary stability.

• Ethamsylate B.P. – 125 mg

• Water for Injection – q.s.

• Stabilizers & pH Adjusters – as required

• Preservative free formulation or with suitable preservatives (as per final spec)

•  Control of capillary bleeding during or after surgery

•  Prevention of postpartum haemorrhage in animals

•  Treatment of haematuria, epistaxis, and internal bleeding

•  Used in pre- and post-operative care for soft tissue procedures

•  Useful in bleeding disorders or low platelet function

•  General Dose: 5–10 mg/kg body weight

•  Route: Intramuscular (IM) or slow Intravenous (IV) injection

•  Frequency: Once or twice daily depending on severity and clinical judgment
