Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class that selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. This injectable formulation provides effective relief of pain and inflammation in animals. Benzyl Alcohol acts as a preservative to maintain sterility and prolong shelf-life.
